I’m excited to announce that I’ve signed a publishing deal with The Unbound Press to publish my first book; Your Heart Has a Tail; Navigating the Loss of a Beloved Pet.
I’ve been a counselor for 23 years and a devoted pet lover that has held a reverence and connection with animals since I was a young girl. With a heart full of empathy and a commitment to healing, I want to provide a guiding light for those seeking understanding and solace after the loss of a beloved pet.
I’ve lost people and pets from a young age and have walked the grief journey myself, with friends, family, and my clients. I understand and have experienced the special connection formed with pets and how profound the loss can be.
My book is for those that have experienced a pet gone missing, caring for a dying pet, or a sudden, recent loss. The grief of a pet is often minimized by society, and I aim to normalize and honor this grief as the emotion that it is, the loss of love.
Through sharing my own stories of losing my beloved pet companions combined with a career as a psychotherapist, I’ll walk alongside you as you navigate the process of grief and tend to your broken heart. I’ll offer ways through, not around the grief with practical caring tips, gentle insights, and hope for healing.
